is it possible to flush a 4.3 gl engine by putting some kind of permanent attachments in place of the engine block drain plugs without having to start the engine?

Re: flushing an engine

You would need to tap in before the thermostat housing to flush the manifolds and just below the housing where a heater hose might be on a car. Not sure you would do a good job that way. hard to flush the entire housing.

You need to run the engine at operating temperature in order to open the thermostat while flushing. Otherwise the engine will not flush out properly.
