I had a small leak in the upper gearcase of my OMC 400series leg. Replaced the washers and i think Ive fixed the problem. However, i cant seem to clear out the milky oil completely, and it mixes with the new stuff so I'm not sure if i fixed the leak properly. Is there any way, or any product i can use to completely clean out the leg of this milky oil.
Thanks
Nigel

It will take some time and more changes

The best thing you can do is pressure test the drive at 10 to 15 PSI

It will leak or not leak

I use the fitting from and oil fill pump with a tee and gauge, and pump it up with a hand pump slowly

If your pump and drive has no leaks it will hold the pressure a LONG time

If NOT some soapy water will bubble around leaks
