I have a 1994 Boston Whaler Rage 15' with a 115 Turbojet. What is the proper flush procedure for this motor? There is a flush kit installed on it. The white PVC piece is where the hose connects. Thanks for any help!

1.Disconnect steering and throttle linkages. 2.unclamp jet and slide forward enough to disconnect from driveline. 3.That flush connector is not stock but I assume it has some sort of check valve, attach hose and turn on just a bit low but not too low, 12 psi. 4. start the motor and idle for 5min. 5. reattach 1 and 2 above.
You may find a pressure regulator in a garden center used for drip irrigation that may help reassure you that you are not flooding too much water into the system, but maybe that attachment has one built in, hard to tell.

I never heard of disconnecting all the stuff stated above to flush the unit. What you have looks like a home built flusher and it may work just fine. Hook a hose to it and try it.

I will try both. I have hooked the hose up once, but after reading all these blogs and learning a lot, I realize I had the hose on full blast. I'll go to ace & try to find a pressure regulator. It seems having the correct amount of pressure is key. The first and only time I hooked up the hose to the homemade flush kit, I let it run for no longer then two minutes. Hope I didn't damage anything.

Also when I did hook if up, it seemed to be working as water was coming out of the jet drive ports. I think that's what they (ports) are called.

Probably not. But do run the engine when performing a flush. It is the design of the turbojet exhaust that can cause water to flow into the lower cylinders without the exhaust backpressure.

I changed my mind. Loose that flush adapter and buy the right one. They are only 10 bucks anyways. I checked the cooling schematic in my manual and flushing from there could be a bad thing. May be ok for the off chance emergency that you run aground and have the heads packed with sand. For everyday use it is probably best to use the factory part. BRP-0437021.
