FLW Tournament in VA

I am taking my Midshipman fishing club from USMMA to Smith Mountain Lake near Roanoke, VA to participate in a FLW Bass tournament on Sat April 27. Has anyone fished this lake system recently and be able to give some advice on how to fish this lake well? Please reply if you are familiar and willing to disclose some pointers. Thanks a lot!!

I was fortunate to find a reservist at school who spent summers fishing on Smith Mountain Lake. He provided a lot of info I am sure we will benefit from. The FLW tour closes the lake five days before the tournament to participants which means we can't do any scouting. Now all I have to do is figure out how to slide that wormy thing on the hooky thing and wait for the cork to bounce. See ya in the winners circle!!
