That's Impossible.......

Chevy use only 2 different diameters,....
The 12" with 153 teeth, that uses the straight across bolt patterned starter.....
And,....
The 14" with 168 teeth, that uses the staggered bolt pattern starter......

You need a Flywheel,.....
Flex-plates are used with automatic transmissions,+ some Inboard transmissions.....

Btw,....... Loose the Cap-Lock,....... It's irritating,+ Hard to Read......

Re: Fly Wheel Help

1. You need a 1 piece flywheel with the correct 3" bolt pattern.
2. You need a 14" flywheel.
3. Flex plates are for automatic transmissions, so unless you have a automatic tranny in whatever it is you have, you need a FLYWHEEL.
4. You need a coupler to fit a 14" flywheel.

hello,

the flywheel stores crankshaft energy to drive the driveline. a flex plate (thinner and lighter) is similar, but it is designed to attach the torque converter to crank, which is heavy and similar in wgt to a flywheel and does same thing other than what the torque converter does, being that it is a t conveter. it works similar to a clutch but is hydraulic vs manual.

hope this helps some...
