I have a 1999 Merc 7.4L MPI. I'd like to replace the spacer and mount from the flywheel housing rear engine mounts. I tried a hammer and wooden dowel however they won't budge. Anyone know how to remove these? Thanks.
If a press is unavailable, I have what I think is a 1" socket with a short extension that I use to hammer out the old mounts. The socket just fits in the hole in the flywheel cover.
