Flywheel magnet damage

I had to get my Force 120 rebuilt earlier this year. The shop that did it was pretty incompetent (bored out the wrong cylinder) and when they finally put it back together, they damaged one of the magnets on the flywheel. Now, I didn't get to see it then but it seemed to run fine. I didn't use it much this year so I don't know if it was really making a difference.

So what I need to know is if I can let this be (is it affecting anything?) or if I should try to replace the flywheel. What do you guys think?

If it were to come apart under there you'd be facing even more exspense than having to replace the flywheel. Stators aren't cheap! I'd replace it!

As long as the surface of the flywheel magnets allow for proper clearance between itself and the stator windings you should be fine. Also, make sure the magnets are bonded well to the flywheel housing. The two magnets are held in place via contact cement to prevent them from possibly working they're way out of the flywheel housing. Easy fix if not.

That piece is on there pretty firmly. I'm just not sure if the weaker magnetic field thats probably there would affect the stator or the voltage regulator.

If the motor runs fine and your battery is charging then I wouldn't worry to much about it.
