The inner magnets came loose on my flywheel, can they be re-epoxied in the same location successfully? Is this a band aide fix or should it last long term?

Thanks,

Marty
PS used replacement flywheels are at least $250 + shipping and tashasdaddy gave me several places to find them. Thanks again.

Re: Flywheel Magnets

Clean metal spotlessly clean, then epoxy magnets with a very good epoxy. The motor manufacturers have glue kits to fix the magnets. You can do it yourself. Make sure the magnets are oriented in the same direction as they were on the flywheel, in other works don't swap ends. Mark, scribe a scratch where they were attached. There should be a glue line, if not the measure the difference between the other magnets and set the loose ones the same difference.
Clean the flywheel throughly with a stainless steel brush. Clean any glue residue from the old magnets. Purchase a thick two part epoxy glue, make sure it is a high strength epoxy. Follow the label directions. I like to put a little extra at the ends of the magnets, like a small dam or ridge to help hold the magnets. Let the glue cure in a warm area at least 48 hours before us
