Flywheel puller bolt

Hello,<br />I have an evinrude 150, (1989), I have to pull the flywheel to get the Regulator/Rectifier out. <br />It is the 35 amp system. I have a flywheel puller,<br />but I don't know what size and thread pitch the holes are in the flywheel. It looks close to 5/16" fine thread, 5/16"-24 starts to thread in but I can feel it's not the right thread. Could it be Metric?<br /> <br />Thanks,<br />Kevin

Blue.... That got me curious so I checked my OMC puller. The bolts are a tight 5/16"-24 thread.

Thanks Joe,<br />5/16"-24 felt funny so I didn't want to force it since if in the event of thread damage drilling and tapping could effect flywheel balance. I'll try just chasing the threads of corrosion.<br /> <br />Kevin
