flywheel removal . can you lift and just turn engine

got a 5.7 89 . i only have a car engine lift. boat has a rear wing. teeth are bad on flywheel. car i just lift engine spin it sideways . put on flywheel and reinstall. can it be done. 89 glastron w/ 5.7 alpha 1 . i think i got the room. but i am asking..

hi bondo i am just thinking to buy flywheel here is a picture of engine..i have no big hoist but can get something to turn engine. do you think new flywheel $150-$200 from ebasic or ring gear from them $40.
i think i got plenty of room...would it best best to fix first to winterize..i got alot done this year...if i can get a hoist it will be easy imo...i am thinking new flywheel as i can just r+r it

I'd rent a Garage for a weekend............................

It's a realitively Easy job swapping the Ring Gear..........

Once the Flywheel is On the Bench of course.......................................
