So I needed to remove the fly wheel. Here is what I made. It also doubles as a lifting tool. Instructions 1) get a 5x5 x 1/2 inch steel plate 2) draw a cross corner to corner to get the center point and drill a hole the same or slightly larger than the external diameter of the center bolt you use. 3) insert bolt and screw nut on fully to hold it in place and weld the nut to the plate. DO NOT WELD THE BOLT. I was going to just tap a thread into the plate but I figure this is stronger. 4) screw on the flywheel bolts and make sure they are all even height. Mine had three. 5) put a dab of paint on the ends of the bolts.screw the bolt threw the plate so the plate will be higher than the bolts. Then lower the Plat by turning the bolt so the plate touches the paint. These are you drill points. 6) drill the holes slightly larger than the bolts used on the flywheel. This gives you some wiggle room to ensure a perfect alignment. 7) drink a beer I opted to use an eye bolt so that I could attach a d ring to it and use as a lifting bracket as well. Oh and you should grind the end of the through bolt on a 45 degree as well. To remove the flywheel I used a rebar through the eye to tighten it. Worked like a charm.
