Thanks to the all the great advice of this group!! I am at the foam ordering/ bottle scavenging stage of a complete floor redo on a 16ft. VIP fg runabout. Boat has 3 stringers, one down middle and 2 outside. No drainage from the hull to the bilge. I have drilled limber holes in the two outside stringers near the back. I installed a new thru-hull from hull to bilge area. Need to leave some free area for water to acccum. and drain. Would fiberglass window screen or stainless steel mesh hold back the 2lb. urethane foam? Is it OK to leave some type of pocket back there? Maybe 2 square feet around the drain area? Have I compromised my hull by drilling limber hole and a new thru hull? Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks

Re: Foam/Drainage Question..

I used Marine tex to seal new thru-hull but otherwise have used polyester resin on stringers..cost was major factor.
