Hello,
In the process of replacing my boat transom I decided to save a lot work/time by cutting out a small section of the aluminum decking to be able to access the transom nuts. I also had to cut out a section of the foam floatation to be able to access them with a wrench. My question is in regard to repairing the foam section I cut out? I'm not worried about floatation since I can always throw in a couple of cutup pool noodles to fill the void. However, the foam section I cut on is very porous and must be sealed again after I finish the transom repair and prior to installing a patch panel on the deck. I've included a pic of the foam I cut out. Any thoughts/opinions are welcomed.
Thanks
