Seen a lot of questions on the best way to remove foam. So I thought I'd share with everyone a niffty tool I've been using. I'm not real computer savey so I can't draw a picture and son has my camera. So bear with me.
A piece of flat stock steel 1/4 thick,3x6, weld on a piece of 1" round stock about 3ft. Bevel the front edge to a 45 degree but not totally sharp or it will dig into the glass, round the corners some for the same reason.
This tool will have some weight to it,which is good. Section your foam with a sawsall, dig out a section with a hammer or whatever. Place tool flat to hull and start banging away at the foam. No need for a hammer as the tool has enough weight to apply the force needed to pop the foam loose! Took me about 10 min. to pop out a section of foam 2ftx14ft using mine.
Hope this helps. Murph.
