1985 Sea Ray SRV300 twin 5.7L Mercruiser's with Alpha 1 outdrives.

My boat is in dry storage on blocks. I've spent all spring, summer and now fall getting the vessel ready for sea. I decided to keep it in storage for this winter and launch her next spring 2007.

I did a complete tune up and I was wondering, if I fog the engines for lay up, come next spring will the spark plugs burn off the fog oil or will I have to replace the new spark plugs.

Thank you in advance....

Re: Fogging and Spark Plugs

The plugs do degrade from the fogging oil. If you still have your old plugs, use them to fog and put your new ones back in in the spring. Or just buy some super cheap plugs to use for fogging.
