In an earlier post I asked what the procedure was to fog my engine (Mercruiser 7.4 MPI) and Don S. graciously provided the link to Mercruiser's service bulletin explaining how this should be done.
I followed the procedure exactly as shown with one exception: Instead of using Quicksilver Fuel Treatment and Stabilizer I used EZ-to-Store/Start stabilizer. Other than that I followed the directions exactly as shown.
I was expecting to see lots of smoke but saw none. After running the engine at 1300 RPM for 5 minutes and ending the procedure I could see that the engine used very little of the "formula". I haven't tried to figure out how much actually entered the system, but I am now doubting if it ran long enough to get through the system. Should I be concerned?
