Fogging through carb without starting engine

For various reasons I do not have access to my truck for towing my boat trailer for the next two months so I need to finish winterizing my boat at the storage site where I keep it. My question is can I fog the cylinders through the carb by turning the starter over (disconnect the coil wire) and try this for 5-7 second intervals, 4 or 5 times?
I still plan to pull the plugs and spray fogging oil directly into the cylinder also. I do not have access to running water at the storage site so I cannot start the engine (5 liter mercruiser, 199 Alpha 1) on muffs with a hose.

thanks for any response,

No, it won't have enough vacuum to pull the fogging oil into the cylinders. Just squirt some in the cylinders and crank the engine over a few times and put the plugs back in. You will be fine.

That would probably work.....
You could make a portable water source out of a 5 gallon bucket, a hose & a plastic gate valve that costs about 2 bucks at Home Despot.....
Just sit the bucket on the swim platform & gravity will do the rest.....
Just be sure that you don't run out of water, while the engine is running......JK
