Anyone ever heard of a plug on the inside of the foot that will let the gear oil run out the speedometer hole if the plug comes out?1985 90hp evenrude,and what is the plug made out of because its floating around inside the foot.
we thought the foot was cracked untill he took it apart and saw the hole ,he replaced the plug but the old plug is still in there,could it get in the gears and tear them up?Does the plug screw in or what?
