Re: foot removal

Do a quick serch for 30hp water pump and you should find some good stuff. Water pump replacement is usualy very straight forward.

The standard gotcha for a first timer is allways the shift rod disconnect and forgetting or overlooking bolts.

Mac

Re: foot removal

The shift disconnect can be accessed by removing the 2 plastic water intake screens and by using two 1/2" open end wrenches.

Re: foot removal

It could be the water pick-up clogged up...I had this to happen on my 150.

Re: foot removal

Have you pulled the thermostat? It may be clogged with gunk. Is the fitting the pee tube hooks up to clear? Can you back flush the motor? You may have to pull the foot again and see if the key for the impeller is on the shaft.
