I am looking for opinons on any one that has tried the foot trim controls, or steering wheel controls or both and which is preferred. I have a hotfoot gas pedal which I like but I still have one hand on the wheel a lot of the time due to having to adjust the trim on the shifter. I am leaning towards the foot model, I think is called hot trim, but don't know how dexterious my left foot is, it still looks for the brake pedal when approaching the dock. I know I can use the thumb buttons without too much problems but my boat is hard to steer (dual cables) and I would really like both hands totally free for steering.

Re: foot trim, or steering wheel trim

Well i just got home with the foot trim unit (Hot Trim). It is a floor mounted pedestal with 2 momentary switchs about 2.5 inchs apart. I did not think of this till I took it out of the package, but I could very easily push both buttons and the same time. Is this going to let the smoke out of my trim motor? I drove a long way to get this peice, turns out it was made right here in Huntsville.
