This is the report on the pt 135 I installed.
The installation is fairly easy with the help of a cherry picker ( :D ) I set the motor 1 inch high and when all was completed the caveatting plate was 1 and 1/2 inch above keel or bottom of boat.
I took this thing out and water tested it and you won't believe the difference it made on the performance it made. The boat is now a little faster to get up on plane and steering is 30% better. I don't know how I made it with out it.
The only draw back is that my boat sat low in the rear any way and the extra 40 lbs sat it a little lower. I have to be careful when slowing down. Waves have a tendency to come over transom
I tried three different props and the t& t let me do this without taking the boat out of the water. I have pics if you want to see just let me know and I will post them.
I would recommend this unit to everybody.

Sounds cool. Yeah a pic or two would be great. I havn't found any oem units for less than what the CMC costs.

Re: For Jason J

Thanx for the pics Bubbakat, looks good. I will probably end up getting one, but I will still try to find an oem unit for cheap. My hope is to run across a broken down inline that someone wants to get rid of. Seeing as how I am at at least ten different houses a day, I come across a lot of stuff that people want rid of.

Thanx Bradster, it has been fun. Right now I am wet sanding my gelcoat to bring back the shine. I was going to paint it, but have decided just to shine what I have. I will repaint the console to match the rest of the boat once I have the gle shined and have a shade of tan to mix from.

I'll keep my ears open and if I run upon one I will let you know. There are a lot of boats and parts scattered around this part of the country.
