This is the report on the pt 135 I installed.
The installation is fairly easy with the help of a cherry picker (
) I set the motor 1 inch high and when all was completed the caveatting plate was 1 and 1/2 inch above keel or bottom of boat.
I took this thing out and water tested it and you won't believe the difference it made on the performance it made. The boat is now a little faster to get up on plane and steering is 30% better. I don't know how I made it with out it.
The only draw back is that my boat sat low in the rear any way and the extra 40 lbs sat it a little lower. I have to be careful when slowing down. Waves have a tendency to come over transom
I tried three different props and the t& t let me do this without taking the boat out of the water. I have pics if you want to see just let me know and I will post them.
I would recommend this unit to everybody.
