He got what he deserved. DNA testing, when evidence is collected and preserved correctly, it can't be beat. Better than an eyewitness.

I used to do work in the Tarrant County Jail system. The fellas in orage saw the tie and thought I was a lawyer. Some of the deals I was offered....

I saw the TV Show "Bones" the first time on Tuesday evening - very interesting story line on the death penalty, and a good twist ending (it sent the bleeding heart lawyer character running out of the room)!

You know in Houston, their DNA lab is currently under investigation because officials found 40% of their DNA testing to be inaccurate. This is a huge problem. I hope they get this situation under control quick.

I'm sure there will be many interesting cases from the results of their findings.

That is so pathetic. I don't know whether to laugh or be disgusted.

Yah, what RF said, every one of those "betrayed" supporters should have a huge red "L" tattooed on their foreheads, or maybe an "S" instead.

DNA, tests are never 100% accurate..... However, when taken into consideration with other evidence, will certainly help shore up a shaky case.....In this case he was convicted without DNA.....As LF says, tests can get screwed up.....Whether by incompetence, or by design.....To base one's guilt or innocence on DNA alone is plain wrong.....
To QC, how did the trial of Mr. Stethem's killers wind up in Germany? Why would the U.S. have jurisdiction in this case?.....JK

Ladyfish I have always thought that. Who is to say that the folks doing the testing are not inept at their job, or even worse corrupt and on the take. This raises a question. Are some of these DNA labs controlled by the very folks doing the prosecuting? If so I would venture to guess there is corruption.
