I have a longshaft 120 force that i want to shorten back to short shaft. I see that there is a spacer in the shaft housing, what else will i need to do? Such as new shaft, is there a spacer on the shaft? I will purchace a manual if i can shorten this motor. Thanks in advance.

loper,

I assume the "long" you have is a 20". I don't believe the Force engines were availble in 25's.

I'm not so sure they made a 15" either.

Djohns19, This motor is on a trophy bayliner and it is a 25" motor. It looks like it might have had an extension kit on it. Thanks Loper

loper,

Consider me corrected!! :( At least, to shorten the drive would require a NEW driveshaft and shift linkage.
