Force 120 lower unit differences

Is a lower unit from a 1992 120hp the same as the unit from a 1997 120hp model?If not what years are interchangeable?

I see you have been waiting for help.So I'll give you what I found.It appears that beginning at EO93700 the Force uses a Merc impeller.so this could mean this is when the Mercury leg was instituted.Can't help with the interchange though it could cover both smaller and larger motors.
I'm sure there is an expert out there with better info.
