Ok i have a 125 force on a 1986 bayliner and i have spent 1600 dollars on this mortor i would get it to the water and it would run great for a few min then bog out like it was not getting gas i had every one say its the carbs and fuel pump so i had them rebuilt

what i found is that if i remove the fuel intake hose where i fill the boat up at and run my gas line in the tank that way it runs good
i checked and replaced all the fuel lines and even removed the pickup tube from the tank to check it for leaks and it has none

it will run if i let the line in the tank throw the fuel fill cap but as soon as it connect it to the tank pick up it starts to lose its speed as if its getting no gas
WTF is going on

Just want to double check what you said. You stated that when you take the fuel line that goes to the motor, and run it through the opening where you fill the tank up, it runs OK?

Try this test. Hook the fuel line up normally to the tank via the pickup tube and take the gas cap off. Does it run OK? If so, then the fuel tank vent is probably plugged. If not, then the fuel pick up must be partially blocked.

+1 on the fuel tank vent being plugged. Mud Daubbers can do this very effectively.
