Hey, everyone. I gotta 1989 Force 125, and as the title suggests my crankshaft shifted downward, driving the flywheel into all the nice expensive electrical parts on the top motor. So I took the powerhead apart to examine everything and try to determine what went wrong. After taking it apart and examining the crankshaft/bearings, everything appears to be as it should, nothing obviously wrong. So my question is, has anyone else had something like this happen, and what did you do. Do I just put it all back together and hope it doesnt happen again. Any advice is greatly appreaciated. Thanks, Grant.

Could it be that the crankshaft slipped out of the upper main bearing? The upper main bearing is just pressed on the end of the crank.

Ya, thats what appeared to happen. Whats the best way to prevent this from happening again. I was thinking some of the locktite for retaining bearing, but would that be enough?
