I figured I would try and get some input from this Forum.
My Force 125 has run fantastic over the years. I took the boat out into the Gulf of Mexico yesterday and ran great for about 10 miles at 3/4 throttle, about the time I got to the fishing wreck it started to spudder and act like it wanted to die, I cut back to 1/2 throttle so I could lisen to the thing and it picked back up, I turned back and came back up to running speed and it ran fine so I headed for the shipping channel just in case it went down on me. I stoped at another spot and fished for 4 hrs( got a couple real nice redfish) I decided to run back in because it was way to hot out there ( the bilge pump came on and pumped the sweat out of the bilge, Time to go LOL)
I started it and it sounded like a miss in it, I came up and it started running just fine again and ran that way until I reached the jetty, it sounded like a miss again and then ran just fine to the boat ramp.
Could the oil mix be too rich? I pulled the plugs today and thay had a very little oil fouling on them, it ran just fine for the flush( about 20 mins or so).
I was thinking I may have had too much oil in the tank, anyone have any Ideas on what it could be? Wont go out in the Gulf if I dont trust the motor, putting the kicker on tomarrow.
