Force 125 weep holes?

I just changed out my impeller and ran the engine on the muffs with no apparent problems. The water spits out the outlets as expected - ('cause the muffs suck, I know.)

At any rate, when I turned off the water, I noticed water pissing out of the weep holes under the cavitation plate - below the gear lube vent/fill holes. Is this abnormal ... or did I just never notice before?

Thanks ...

- joe

It is normal if its the two 1/8" holes under the cavitation plate in the front. It is a water drain so it will drain when you tip the outboard up.

Yup .. those are the ones - the water seems to be draining from the motor leg ...

I know the motor leg is not meant to be watertight when the boat is in the water; but how does so much water get up in there in my driveway?

...or do I care, as long as I have good flow out the nozzles?

- j
