force 125hp prop question.

i have a 1988 bayliner bass trophy 18ft., force 125hp outboard, 13x 19 alum. prop, wot is 40ish at 4200 rpm. what can i do to get more top speed out this old girl?

That is really slow for a bass boat with a 125hp.
Force engines are typically less powerful than a 125hp from another brand.
Figure you have 110hp. You should hit at least 50mph in my opinion and you should require a bigger prop. However with your results it would indicate you need a much smaller prop. But that doesn't make sense. You probably have a lower than normal engine output.
