force 150 starter problem

ok i had to change the ignition system on my 91 force 150 i must have crossed somthing the motor starts and runs fine but i saw that when it starts the starter keeps spining its not engaged to the fly wheel but it spining???? any ideas?

I had the same problem when I installed my ner starter. It would spin but not rise up to engage the flywheel. After a little grease and hand turning the sproket, it lossened up and works fine now.

I doubt its your ignition switch. Basicly it just turns on all the electrics need to run the motor. If anything I would check the starter soleniod and make sure all the wires are tight and not corroded. Below is a picture of how mine is wired.
