force 40hp died and wont restart

yesterday i was running my boat and it ran great for about an hour and then out of no where it died and will not start . I let it cool down completly and tried it again and still nothing. Any advise on what could be wrong. The motor is a 1995 force 40hp .. Thanks

loose wire
starter failure
solenoid failure
neutral safety switch failure
kill switch
switchbox
trigger
controls not in neutral
fuel line leak
stator
no fuel
no compression
ignition switch broke
dead battery

Seriously, it could be any number of things.
Start with the basics, compression, fuel, and spark.
Whichever is failing, needs to be investigated further.

You say it won't start, but that doesn't tell us much about what the engine is or isn't doing while you try to start it.
