Force 50 Overheat good water

Need your help guys... I have a force 50 that has a brand new impeller in it. It pumps good water, and if I pull the plug at the top of the cyl head a fountain shoots out of it. But it still gets hot. Even without the thermostat in it. I pulled the lower off, and connected a hose to the copper pipe. I ran water through it and it seemed to be getting good flow. Any ideas?

How hot does it get?
What does it do when it gets hot?

Have the proper amount of oil mixed in the fuel?

Do you get the overheat buzzer? How hot does the water get?

Also, while you have the lower unit off, try back flushing by poring water in to the thermostat hole. Some water should come out of the copper pipe.
