Im going to start to remove my powerhead this weekend due to low compression on one cyl. Head gasket let go and washed out a cylinder. I have the clymers manual and it talks about a flywheel puller is there a another way?? And any other tips that may be helpful.

I dont know about Force but on chryslers you can replace the head gasket without removing the powerhead or the flywheel.

You will need to pull the flywheel. I got a $20 steering wheel puller from Walmart and that did the trick. Be careful not to lose the crankshaft key. I take it you have already loosed the 3/4" bolt on top of the flywheel. You will also need a torque wrench when you reassemble. I got mine from northern tools for $17.
