Force L-drive question

Please forgive me for what is probably a dumb question.:redface:

I've located an OEM manual for my 1989 85hp Force that specifies "L-drive." I don't know what this refers to. Can someone please educate me?

the L drive was an attempt to turn a regular out board into an inboard setup. It used the force power head ,and an inboard drive. they had a lot of issues with it and it didn't last too long.Parts are scarce, I would suggest staying away from them. moparman

As suggested that is the not very successful I/O setup tried by Force.You need the Outboard manual.
