MY 50hp 1988 force motor at slow speed jumps out of forward gear , have no problem at hi speed or in reverse At slow speed it will jump in and out of gear Thank yor iboat forum . Frank gaulding

Sounds like a shift cable adjustment,Fix it quick or you will be replacing the clutch dog and maybe forward gear.J

Frank,

Get out the book and follow the procedures for adjusting the shift cable. You have to make sure you have a dead on neutral or else you will wear the dogs in the lower.

If you have never adjusted your shift linkage and this just started happening, it may be worn dogs. I would still check the cable adjustment first though.
