Force Outboard

I just bought a boat with a force outboard the model #on the mounting bracket is 1253x7b the serial #is 1145, but it is a 3 cylinder and has a 85 on the motor cover, The only # i found on the motor itself was M599569 this was stamped i believe in the block, Is there any other #'s i can look for to see what year the motor is. First boat still learning

??? that number on the bracket says its a 1987 125, definately a 85hp so that can't be the original bracket/motor combo. Maybe original motor/different bracket or original bracket/different motor

You have an 85hp not a 125.Someone switched parts.Take a pic and post it and someone can get close.Jerry

My 1987 85 horse has a bracket from a 1990 90 horse I put on it. They are all interchangeable 3 and 4 cylinders that is.

Thanks for the replys,the motor looks alot newer than 1987 it is very clean it is also a CFI cross fire induction is there any other way to find out what year this outboard is. Thanks again
