are there any alternatives to using another tach without 20 pole how will it workk

i need a tach for my 85 force

Might tell you you're doing 2600rpms when you're doing 5200 rpms

If you can't find one, try a tinytach.

They aren't great, but better than nothing.

The only thing with those inductive tachs is the signal wire is never long enough to mount it on the dash

Last time I checked, www.greatlakesskipper.com had TONS of Force tachs.

yes greatlakeskipper has some great tach and matching speedo's too. Check ebay search for Faria Tachometer he has old stock new in box white 12/20 pole tachs they are beautiful. Im ordering mine when I can.
