Quick one, after searching i came up empty. Has anyone attached a trim gauge/sending unit to a force? If so, what worked? Mines a 1989 125. I want to replace all the gauges this winter, and add a trim gauge if i can...

As far as I know, I have never seen a Force trim gauge and sender. Chrysler, on the other hand, did make one and the left transom clamp had a dedicated hole for the sending unit. This will work with any early Force tilt/trim unit with the pentagon trim cylinder. These were rarer than hen's teeth though and you will need to search long and hard to find one.

Since early Chrysler engines used a standard pump also used by OMC, You may be able to find a generic OMC sending unit but I would not get my hopes up.

Remember: The sending unit is simply a bent piece of wire that moves a potentiometer. The degree of deflection varies the resistance to ground and thus the deflection of the dashboard gauge. Thus it is possible to fabricate one that would work.
