I have since installing new engine if the flywheel was installed the same way it came off. I haven't started it yet as no distributor. I was told by my help that it really doesn't matter. It went on easy so my question now is...does it matter...and if so now what or how to tell without ripping engine out

Here's how it was put in....flywheel onto studs with the indent portion facing out. Coupler onto studs. There was no key way or line up marks

What's concerning me is the weights location relevant to crank type thing

Ayuh,..... I don't do Fords, but many flywheels have one bolt off-set from the bolt circle to locate it to the crankshaft, or a pin as Chris says,....

flywheels are aligned to the crank by two methods

a locating pin
a bolt pattern that is not symetrical

so, unless you drilled holes to make the bolts fit, your good to go

Ayuh,.... I zoomed in on the 1st picture, the one that looks like a cap screw, is a nut, but the stud is screwed in to deep, before the nut went on,....
They all should have the same thread reveal,...
