Guys, I have changed the oil 3 times in my boat now....
Ashamed to say I have NEVER noticed, but there is a tiny little ford oval on the dipstick.
I checked several times and it is definetly the "trademark" ford oval.
I was shocked to find this!
My engine is basically a GM block right? It is stamped as such.
The color on the handle of the dipstick is the same as the engine.
It was too dark to get a photograph but I will try to get the numbers and other markings off of the dipstick.
My questions are:
Anyone seen this before?
When I get the numbers off of it, can I reference them to ensure it is the proper length for my engine? (on oil change, filling with 5 quarts gets me in "normal" range)
