Have a 2008 F150 XL 4X4. It doesn't have factory cruise control. Are all trucks wired for factory cruise? Can I add the necessay componets to make factory cruise. I'm thinking the steering wheel with the cruise buttons, a couple under the hood management pieces. What else do you would think I would need.
I'd prefer to stay factory not after market, so unless you know or have done this, please don't recommend some after market system yet. If that's the only way to go, I'll post later for suggestions.
Thanks.

Check with Ford dealer for price to add cruise? I know once you've had cruise, it's awful hard to be without it, and easy to get a sppeding ticket without it!

Also, my guess is that for the dealer price to add cruise, it might be cheaper just to trade trucks! The price of the parts is what's going to kill you! The dealer put a new water pump on my Roadmaster and it was $350, just for the pump, without the labor! We get reamed everytime we go over there! Good Luck!

Well you wont need the old style servo box that mounts under the hood to hold the throttle where you set it @ thats for sure being its an electric throttle control on there and the existing computer box runs that.

Good luck I would only want it be the factory set up as well but I would think its going to be ungodly expensive to retrofit it column, maybe a used cruise column from a wreckers ? Maybe the wiring too ?
Heres one of many on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/07-0...ptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

Well...... after some research this is a piece of cake. You buy the factory switches, install them in your steering wheel and go to a dealer to have your computer programed to use cruise control.
That was easy!!!!

So there is already a cruise equipped clocksping in your column ?
Let us know how much that re-programming is.

Reflash the PCM, between $65 - $80. Depends where you are at.
