Ford to Chevy Repower Question

I recently bought a 1973 SlickCraft SS204 with what I believe to be a Merc 225S outdrive and Ford 302 (I'm sure about the Ford part). The engine was junk, so I'm in the process of repowering to a late-model Chevy 305. The only major problem I've come across so far is the interface between the flywheel housing and the transom. The mounts on the ford flywheel housing (and the inner transom) are over 12 inches center to center, on the GM it's only 9.5. Does anyone know if there is a GM flywheel housing with the wider mounts? Are there conversion brackets available? I'd rather not have to replace the inner transom bracket. I've done some CAD drawings of the brackets I would need and I've started building them, but I'd rather try to find something that will just bolt-on.

Thanks,
Tom

Re: Ford to Chevy Repower Question

You need a flywheel cover from a Pre-Alpha Chevy.........

The Alpha motor mount spacing is 9"s,.....

The Pre-Alpha is 15"s........
