I modified my tabs today, just drilled a 1/4" hole is all.
I raised them to the point of being uneffective just to try to clean up the wake splash. It's definately a trade off, my kneeboard rider didn't get the splash where the tabs usually split the wake, and the wake was bigger too, but the engine sure worked hard to sustain a good wake speed with it's nose up high, I had almost forgotten what that anoying low speed zig zag was like. I'll be putting them back into effective range for my next trip.
