I've had my 1985 Bowrider W/85hp Force o/b for 3 years now. I've done the winterization myself without any problems. I just thought about it & it dawned on me that I never fogged the cylinders. It has been done the other years when packing it away, will this be a problem for me in the spring? Or might I get away with it? Nothing I can do at this point but hope everything will be fine, just thought I'd ask to make me feel better. What do you motor guy's think?

O -- M -- G! Your engine will self destruct the first time you fire it up. Inside the cylinders will be rusted beyond belief and the engine will lock up. LOL

NAH! Nothing wwill happen. An engine that has been run regularly will have enough residual oil in it to carry it through the worst winter. Fogging makes the owner feel good.

Tanx Frank. I've heard about the "non-Fogged" self destruction before on first start ups in the spring. Don't know how/why I forgot about it, not even sure why I thought about it now, at this point in January. Well you've made me feel better about it. It's just kind of funny, for some reason I get all fired up on fishing & boating (now that I have a boat), at this time of year. I start watching "In Fisherman" TV shows that I don't watch any other time, I pull my fishing box out & go through it, clean my reels, stuff like that. I've done this since I can remember, maybe it's because I can't do it now & want to. Ya... there's always the ice fishing thing, but I'm not really into that. I'll be building a nice 1 1/2 car heated garage this summer for the boat & dirt bike. I'll be able to screw around with the boat all winter next year, can't wait. OK, sorry, I got off the track a little, Thanks again, I'm sure I'll post up if I have any start up issues.;)
