a few years back a buddy of mine got up after a night of heavy rain to go and take his speed boat for a run to drain the water out. when he came back and tied up to the wharf, he forgot to put the plug back in. we all know what happened. he went out later and all he could find was his windshield sticking out of the water.

Re: forgot to put the plug back in.

I thought we all did that at one time or another. My buddy and I dropped his boat in the water and used the rope to pull it over to the dock. We then discussed the merits of first getting the boat ready which involved taking the cover off the boat etc. or driving the truck camper up to a camping site (it was first come first served) and get a good spot. We had decided it made sense to get a good spot and worry about the boat later when just before I drove away he said "Actually lets take the cover with us so we do not have to carry it back by hand. That was a good idea as when we took the cover off the water was still gushing in but it only had about 6 inches of water............... Could have spoiled a nice weekend
