I have a formica countertop and some water got into the seam at the edge and I have rot under the formica. I plan to replace the formica but first I will cut the bad wood out and replace it. Complete repalcement of the entire countertop is not an option. <br /><br />To prevent this from happening again I thought it might be a good idea to coat all of the exposed wood with epoxy resin. Is this the best solution? Any problems with the formica adhereing to the epoxy surface?
