Found 1976 Evinrude 85hp with a new looking jet

found this motor on marketplace and wondering what years it will fit. Some say 73-77 other say more years with mods......But nowhere says what mods are. Anyone with knowledge?

I don't understand why it won't fit on a '78. Is that the year we went metric?

I should have never responded. No idea what the question is here. Are we talking about carburetor jets, or jet a jet ski? Either way, I should have just passed this post by without respinding like everyone else did.
