HI all,

Wasnt sure what Catagory this should fall under, This seems closest. Did some searching but still questions and havent delved into the world of Marine fuel tanks in my past.

My Tiara Pursuit 2600 is in need of a Centar Main tank. Orig is aluminum 155 Gals with two pickups for Twin Outboards. I have accessed it, Taken measurements etc. It is NOT foamed in, and will come out the floor hatch.

New is very pricy and out of my budget at the moment. I visited a local Marine Salvage yard today and was surprised they did have a bunch. I found a 100 Gallon that would fit size-wise and in good condition (no corrosion or pitting)...But It appears to have just a single pickup.

Since I know zero about them currently, Are these ports removable/Installable? Are these in a plate that can swap from tanks? Or can I install a 2nd one in this replacement tank?

Whats under the port/shutuff inside the tank itself? Tubes, Screens, Anti-siphons??

Since I also have 2 side "Saddle" tanks of 24 Gallons each, This replacement tank, thought less gallons, should be able to work for me, If I can solve the pick-up issue.

Again, perfect world I'd get a new Poly or Alum tank but in middle of a house remodel at the moment.

Thanks for any advise out there.

The second pickup port can be added by any reputable aluminum welder. You can google "aluminum marine fuel tank pickup" as I did and there are many to choose from. You will need to now the depth of the tank. A "bung" would need to be welded to the top of the tank into which the pickup is threaded.

Thanks SIlvertip, I got a local shop that I have used for welding. Will get specs of that port when I pull mine out. He should be able to do any mods so I can use the proposed tank.
