not the same.has only 2 poles ,im assuming you hook it up basically as you would a old car with points just not postive how to do.well if all else fails read the manual again,lol.this motor has the belt driven mag and external coil.
i think the tac has a short, as if i hook it up per the wiring diagram it kills the motor.those tacs are darn near impossible to find.im thinking of going the photo laser route as no wiring is involved and you could read any rotating mass for rpm so would come in handy for all the other motors i have.all i want to do is to make sure im proped properly particuarilly in the over rev dept.
