I found and underwater object today with the lower unit of by I/O. Hit it WOT square on the bulbous leading edge. The prop and lower housing are toast. Questions are: Is a prop a proprietary thing, do I have to look for a prop for a Mercruiser? Second is, is there a seal "kit" for removing the lower housing? I plan on replacing the impeller while I replace the lower unit.

If you've screwed up the lower unit so badly, get the gears in the top box crack tested. If they're cracked and not replaced you'll get about 5-10 hours before they let go a tooth, then the top box will be toast too.
